What I’m Reading: Pity Partiers

First off, congratulations to our friend Daniela Carrasco on her new book Pity Partiers available now on Amazon. When I got my copy of Daniela’s book, I was excited at the idea that someone we actually know has published a book! But, if I’m being 100% honest: I wasn’t sure what to expect when I found out what this book was about.

I mean, what can this book teach me that I don’t already know from reading countless books on self-help and investing in many self-improvement programs throughout my adult years. However, the title and subtitle alone had me intrigued. What is “Pity Partiers” and how can “celebrating my failures” help me achieve my biggest win? TF!?

I start to read through the introduction and past the first chapter, when I say: “Hmm… this is interesting.”

Daniela has taken a different approach on achieving one’s goals. Not only has she done extensive research and conducted many interviews with experts (including our very own Katrina aka Yoda Love Expert), she presents her Pity Party Methodology in an organized and easy-to-understand way which helps readers rethink their past failures and setbacks in life; understand what it really means; and then use it to celebrate and achieve their goals. Ultimately, I believe Daniela’s approach will lead many to a more purposeful and successful life.

Overall, I recommend this book. It’s a refreshing take on self-help, overcoming obstacles, facing your fears, and best of all, celebrating “life”– realizing that your resilience has already brought you on the right path to achieving success!

Have you ever considered celebrating failure, rather than fearing it? Failure can be the route to success.

Pity Partiers: Celebrating Your Failures to Achieve Your Biggest Wins teaches readers to embrace the “suck” of getting fired from a dream job, not reaching goals, experiencing break-ups, or being rejected. It is full of stories of wildly successful women who have used failure as their driving force to build accomplished careers, relationships, and lives. The exciting three-step Pity Party Method guides readers on how to approach, react, and gain a framework to overcome major disappointments.

You will learn:

* how failure affects our brain, and why people fear it.
* how to embrace defeat, redefine, and overcome failure using the Pity Party Methodology.
* how to accept failure with gratitude, self-confidence, and resilience.

If you’ve experienced failure and want to learn how to be successful by embracing it, this book is for you! Stop viewing failure as defeat, Discover how to be a Pity Partier, and celebrate your way to success!
