In November Drakeo The Ruler was released from jail, a little over a year after the musician was acquitted of murder and attempted murder charges following an arrest in 2017. Following the acquittal, however, he would almost immediately face charges of criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a car, which resulted in him remaining incarcerated and facing a life sentence had he’d been convicted.

Drakeo was released on November 4, the very day that widely criticized Los Angeles’ District Attorney Jackie Lacey would lose her job as Los Angeles County District Attorney to progressive prosecutor George Gascón. There’s a whole lot to unpack about that, but this isn’t for that.

Drakeo has now released his first post-prison project, We Know the Truth, to coincide with his birthday. An 18-song drop, the mixtape is led by the single “Fights Don’t Matter.” Meanwhile, the likes of Lil Yacthy, Rich The Kid, Tee Grizzley, Lil Mosey and others guest throughout.

Stream the project in its entirety, below.
