After much anticipation and plenty of teasing from Jeremy Renner, Marvel Studios has shared the first trailer for the Hawkeye Disney+ series.
Based on the trailer the story unfolds during the holiday season, and centers on Hawkeye’s burgeoning partnership with Marvel fan favorite Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. In the comics, Bishop took on the title of Hawkeye when Barton was missing in action. Set in a post-blip New York City, sometime after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the show also stars Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, and Alaqua Cox among others.
To coincide with the release of the trailer, Marvel Entertainment also shared a teaser poster for the show that plays up the Xmas aspect. “This holiday season, the best gifts come with a bow,” the poster teases.
As with the previous Marvel Studios Disney+ shows, such as Loki and WandaVision, the show will receive a behind-the-scenes special as part of Marvel Studios: Assembled series when it concludes. Hawkeye will consist of a lean six-episode first season, but Variety reported earlier this year that Marvel was also developing a spin-off show focused on Alaqua Cox’s character, Echo.
Hawkeye premieres Nov. 24, 2021 on Disney+. Watch the trailer up top.
