Danny Brown is pursuing a new calling: comedy.
The Detroit rapper made his stand-up debut on Thursday night as an opener for Hannibal Buress in Huntsville, Texas—in front of a massive 4,000-person audience.
“I didn’t bomb!!!!!!!” Brown tweeted following his set.
Brown, 40, also thanked Buress, 38, for pushing him to pursue comedy.
“Hannibal killing em now owe this dude for life for giving me the confidence to finally get on stage,” Danny wrote alongside an image of Hannibal on stage.
In a pair of tweets that have since disappeared, he wrote, “Definitely have a lot to work on but I can honestly say I’m addicted now and want to get better at this so I’m definitely gonna go hard when I get back home. Thank you to everyone who sent me good luck wishes it definitely helped cause playing in front of 4K for my first stand up set definitely had me missing sleep last night.”
