Google PlayDuring an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about her latest book, Gabrielle Union revealed she once spent between $10,000 and $20,000 at a strip club.
In her new memoir You Got Anything Stronger? Union opens up about her love of strip clubs, and she expanded on that in the interview. She noted that pre-pandemic, she would head to strip clubs between 10 to 15 times a year and considers herself something of a connoisseur.
“There’s a really famous strip club in Atlanta called Magic City,” she said to audible cheers. “You know it. … It’s a welcoming place, the ladies are very welcoming. But they’re all different!”
Asked to estimate how much she might have spent on a particularly expensive night at the club, she said, “I don’t know, 10 or 20 thousand.” She added, “You don’t really think about it because of the booze, and you always want to make sure the ladies go home with a little something.”
As for whether she’s ever been with her husband Dwyane Wade, she admitted they went early in their relationship but now it’s more of a solo outing or something she does with her friends. “I think in the beginning when we first started hanging out, I would see some of his teamates—who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are—he would be like, ‘No I’m not gonna, I’m gonna go home.’ I was like, ‘Don’t be afraid, babe, come with me.’ I think he was a little intimidated by, ‘Gab’s back! Here she comes with her wallet.'”
