The new trailer for the second season of 50 Cent’s popular Starz series Power Book II: Ghost has just arrived, and finds Tariq still fighting to become his own person and salvage what family he has left.
Coming out of the Power universe, Book II: Ghost is executive produced by Fifty and Courtney Kemp. The second season begins right where the first left off, with Tariq having to figure out what he’s willing to sacrifice to reach his ambition and protect what little family he has left. As several characters—from Monet to Dru and Diana—all battle inner turmoil as well, the stage is set for Tariq to make decisions that will impact more than just himself.
Power Book II: Ghost comes just after the Power prequel series, Power Book III: Raising Kanaan, wrapped an extremely successful first season this past summer.
“Power is a family drama,” Power veteran Sacha Penn told Complex during a Raising Kanan press junket. “This is a family drama. It was always going to be some version of a family drama, so when they came to me and said, ‘Look, we want to do this origin story,’ I went back and said, ‘All right, let me figure out what that would look like,’ and I really felt the central relationship would be [between] mother and son.”
