Jay-Z once said, “Over here, we measure success by how many people successful next to you/ Here, we say you’re broke if everybody is broke except for you.” The hip-hop legend plans to make good on his bars as Roc Nation’s Team Roc and Reform Alliance are set to host a job fair for unemployed New Yorkers.

According to Page Six, the Team Roc New York Job Fair will be taking place on Nov. 18 at Madison Square Garden and will be geared towards disadvantaged groups, including single parents and the formerly incarcerated.

Companies such as Zara, Lowe’s, Amazon, Foot Locker, Live Nation, VICE, Madison Square Garden, and 40/40 Club will be among the employers present to interview candidates. Ahead of the event, Team Roc managing director Dania Diaz said in a press release that they are more than excited to be helping New Yorkers connect with employers.

“The Team Roc New York Job Fair is a real opportunity for socio-economic mobility for New Yorkers – those who want to work, yet have not had the exposure or connections to the right-fit jobs, or to the support services that can strengthen their prospects for employment,” Diaz said.

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez mirrored the same sentiments, saying that she hopes this initiative will help “stimulate New York’s economy but pair the state’s best and brightest employees with the country’s leading organizations.”

This isn’t the first time Hov has extended a helping hand to the unemployed. For the reopening of his 40/40 Club this past summer, Jay-Z hired 100 new employees to work the club, and is reportedly paying them $20 an hour plus tips.

“We’re thrilled to add a jolt to New York City’s restaurant and nightlife industry with the creation of these 100 new jobs,” 40/40 manager Candice Williams told Complex at the time. “It has been a challenging stretch for bartenders and servers, but we’re looking forward to evaluating candidates this weekend and giving opportunities to some of the best and brightest talent.”

The Team Roc New York Job Fair starts at 9 a.m. and will go until 5 p.m.
