It’s been a while, but India Shawn has released her first body of work in some time, BEFORE WE GO.
“I wanted you to experience these songs the way I imagined them, as a body, a collection that you can ride to or dance to or cry to; something you can live with,” Shawn says about the seven-song EP. “When I was choosing the songs for this EP, I wanted the story to mirror my life right now. I’m a person learning her worth, loving and choosing herself more each day. That in itself has been a wild ride. Take this as a reminder to enjoy the journey.”
Led by the singles “Don’t Play With My Heart,” “Not Too Deep,” and “Movin’ On,” the likes of Anderson .Paak, 6LACK, and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra guest throughout the project. Shawn has also released a video for “To Change My Mind” as well.
