Pulling up to Porsche’s Experience Center in Atlanta was like coming home for contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. The star creator, who’s known for his work in New York City’s PS1 and The Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, has been inspired by these vehicles for as long as he could remember.

“These cars were an icon when I was a kid,” Arsham says about the Porsche 911 and 930. “The 930 was the car I was drawing when I was a kid. This car would have been junior high school for me. Something about getting into these cars and driving them is like a time machine.” Daniel Arsham Joe La Puma PorscheIn the second episode of Porsche’s Dream Building video series, Arsham couldn’t be more pumped to experience the car company’s vintage rides, especially since he’s an avid Porsche collector. “Since I got the first one, I had this dream to basically build a collection through my studio that has one from every decade beginning in the 1950’s with the 356 through every generation until the late ’90s,” he adds.

Nostalgia wasn’t the only thing Arsham was after. The Porsche enthusiast sticks to what’s current by customizing a 992 GT3 and goes all out with the racing yellow color. Continuing to stay on-trend, he keeps the bold hue going with matching stitching, seat belts, and more that result in an exceptional monochromatic build.Daniel Arsham Porsche Dream Building JLPForget complementing fits, car coordination is the thing to do. Arsham truly kicks this distinct concept up a notch, proving every little detail makes all the difference. Pay close attention and watch the full episode above. Then, stay tuned for the series finale with the one and only Teyana Taylor next week.

Directed by Julian Muller, Produced by James Bender, Art Direction by Ariel Weaver, and Design by Brandon Banks.
