The Creative Collective NYC has unveiled its latest Creative Class, including 44 individuals who are being celebrated for their work toward building “from the ground up.”

In a statement, Creative Collective NYC founder Imani Ellis—who’s also behind the annual CultureCon event—commended this year’s selected Creative Class members, who together comprise a list of creative voices that CCNYC considers “Black culture-shifters” spanning a wide variety of mediums.

“Truly for the culture, these change-makers are incredibly inspiring,” Ellis said this week. “The Creative Class 2022 recognizes 44 innovative individuals spanning industries and sectors. Our goal is to amplify these innovators and give credit where credit is clearly due in hopes to inspire the next generation of creative leaders.”

Among the 44 included in this year’s class are actor and producer Nick Creegan, comedian and artist Jazmyn W., photographer Cam Kirk, Slutty Vegan ATL and Bar Vegan ATL CEO Pinky Cole, Instagram’s Culture & Community Marketing Lead Arinze Emeagwali, and more. According to the CCNYC team, this year’s class connects the present with what’s ahead, all while reinforcing the importance of the past.
