As her fans continue to wait for her long-in-the-works debut album, Pretty Bitch Music (she was, however, nominated for Best Rap Song and Best New Artist at the 2022 GRAMMY Awards), Saweetie teams with fellow Bay Area resident H.E.R. for her new single “Closer.”
“I think everything is falling into place as it should be,” Saweetie said to Billboard about nominations. “I think we’ve been working really hard. [2021] is the year I think I’ve worked the hardest and not just out of my career but in my years of being on the Earth. So to be acknowledged is very gratifying after a year of hard work.”
