Former Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner is set to host a radio show with Guardian Angels founder Curtis Silwa.

Page Six reports the pair will argue politics on a weekly program called “The Left vs. The Right,” which will air Saturdays at 2 p.m. on WABC radio.

“I am not going back into public life, I am doing a radio show with a friend of mine,” Weiner told the outlet. “It’s not a conscious decision,” he joked. “I have a face for radio, but I don’t know if I have a place in radio as a career. Sometimes it is what it is.”

Weiner, whose 2013 New York City mayoral campaign failed following revelations that he had sent sexually explicit messages to several women, says the show will not shy away from his past.

“There’s a lot of water under the bridge,” Weiner admitted. “There have been a lot of opportunities for me to process a lot of stuff. A lot of time has passed. I don’t think I would be going on the radio if I didn’t think Curtis or listeners would ask tough questions.”

In 2017, Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in prison for sending sexually explicit messages to a minor. He was released in February 2019.

“People shouldn’t expect two hours every Saturday of me doing mea culpas,” he said. “I have many things I regret and many things I am proud of.”

Weiner’s co-host, Silwa, a radio veteran who last year secured the Republican nomination for New York City mayor before losing to Eric Adams, believes the disgraced congressman deserves another chance.

“I think being on the radio he can become a role model for other people who have had major issues in their life,” Silwa said.
