With Los Angeles hosting the Super Bowl for the first time in roughly three decades last night (Feb. 13), as well as the city’s team — the Rams — winning the title for the first time in even longer, the NFL enlisted in the services of some of the biggest hip hop artists on the planet for its annual halftime concert.

Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg hit the Super Bowl 56 stage, marking the first time hip hop artists were the main performers for the halftime show. The performers also did the show for the free: Puck News’ Eriq Gardner reported that Dre put up most of the show’s $7 million dollar budget, which included appearances from 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Notably, Eminem took a knee following his performance of “Lose Yourself,” a clear nod to Colin Kaepernick’s act of protest against police brutality and racial discrimination. Naturally, there’s been conflicting reports that the NFL both knew and denied Em from doing so.

In case you somehow missed the biggest US sporting event of the year last night, or want to relive the show, it can be seen below.
