Julia Fox Speaks on How Dating Kanye Was ‘Best Thing That Could Have Happened to Me’

While attending the world New York premiere of The Batman on Tuesday, Julia Fox reflected fondly on her time with Kanye West when a reporter asked her if she had any regrets about their relationship.

“It was the best thing that could have happened to me,” Fox told Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith. Fox added that dating Kanye was “like hitting a reset button,” because it “brought a spark back into my life that I had kind of forgotten about.”

When asked about her current romantic status, the Uncut Gems actress said she just doesn’t have the time right now.

“I don’t even have the time to, like, brush my hair,” Fox explained. “I mean, if I meet someone, yes. If nature plays its course, and someone comes along, I’d be more than happy to entertain that. But I’m not looking for anything right now.”

Fox added that she and Kanye remain friends.

The former couple met at a New Year’s Eve party in Miami, where they were then spotted on another date at Carbone. After what appeared to be a whirlwind romance, the couple amicably separated.

Fox personally confirmed the split on her Instagram Stories, writing that “the media would love to paint a picture of a sad lonely woman crying on a plane by myself but it’s NOT TRUE.”

“Why not see me for what I am which is a #1 hustler,” she wrote in a since-deleted post. “I came up yall lol and not only that but Kanye and I are on good terms! I have love for him but I wasn’t in love with the man Jesus Christ what do you think I am, 12 years old?!”

Fox’s comments were made in response to reports that she was seen crying in LAX shortly after the pair had separated.

“If anything I’ve been laughing more than before and if I look like shit it’s cuz I got out at terminal 1 and ran on foot to terminal 7 cuz I was fkin late for a plane to go see the only men that matter which is my son and my dad,” Fox added at the time.
