A pair of shootings on Thursday night resulted in the deaths of two Brooklyn men.
The New York Post reports that the first incident took place just after 7 p.m. outside an apartment building in East Flatbush, where Gary Delima, 31, was shot multiple times. Delima was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hours later, around 11:30 p.m. officers from the 77th Precinct responded to a shooting at a bodega on St. Johns Place near Troy Avenue in Crown Heights.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found Adiyb Ramkissoon, 30, inside the deli with gunshot wounds to his torso. Police say Ramkissoon, who lived less than a block away from the store, was chased into the bodega by the suspect, who opened fire on the victim once inside the deli.
Ramkissoon was declared dead after paramedics rushed him to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County. Police are not sure why Ramkissoon was being followed, as he was not an employee of the bodega, nor did he have any prior interactions with him.
No arrests have been made in either killing, as police are continuing to investigate both shootings.
