Fresh off a weekend of Pete Davidson-related news of a very different variety, the Jeff Bezos-founded suborbital flight company Blue Origin has announced details of an upcoming flight featuring the Saturday Night Live star among its assortment of passengers.

In a press release shared Monday, the company announced the crew aboard its NS-20 flight will include Davidson, Marty Allen, Jim Kitchen, Dr. George Nield, and husband-and-wife pair Sharon and Marc Hagle. The mission, liftoff for which is scheduled to take place on March 23, will mark the fourth human flight for Blue Origin’s New Shepard program.

Postcards to Space program. For those of us still relegated to an Earth-based existence, live coverage of the mission is set to begin about an hour before the currently scheduled 9:30 a.m. ET launch time.

Blue Origin’s third human flight was completed back in December and featured Michael Strahan, Laura Shepard Churchley, Evan Dick, Cameron Bess, Dylan Taylor, and Lane Bess. In a statement shared at the time, Blue Origin CEO Bob Smith teased the successful flight as part of a busy 2021 agenda that marked “just the beginning” of what the company has in store for the future.

Mere days before the confirmation of Davidson’s Blue Origin launch date, Deadline reported that the comedian and writer will soon be seen playing a fictionalized version of himself in a new series produced by SNL’s Lorne Michaels. With any luck, perhaps we’ll get at least an episode’s worth of material out of this month’s previously rumored flight.
