Pete Davidson is no longer part of the crew for the next Blue Origin flight, the Jeff Bezos-founded company has confirmed.

In a statement initially shared to Twitter on Thursday evening and later added to the mission in question’s designated updates page, a Blue Origin rep announced that the initially scheduled launch date of March 23 had been amended, ultimately bumping the launch back to March 29. Due to this, the Bodies, Bodies, Bodies actor and upcoming Mainstream Sellout guest is “no longer able” to join the crew.

“Blue Origin’s 20th flight of New Shepard has shifted to Tuesday, March 29,” the company said in a statement. “Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission. We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days.”

Davidson was originally set to join fellow crew members Marty Allen, Jim Kitchen, Dr. George Nield, and husband-and-wife duo Sharon and Marc Hagle for the mission, which will mark the fourth human flight as part of the larger New Shepard program.

Davidson, who this week has remained a consistent headlines presence in connection with Kim Kardashian and the artist formerly known as Kanye West, will soon be bringing a fictionalized version of himself to television in the form of a new comedy series tentatively titled Bupkis.

Per Deadline, the series is said to be in the middle of being pitched to potential streaming homes, with both Peacock and Amazon Prime cited in the report as having allegedly expressed interest.
