First Quarter Highlights.
With three months knocked off the calendar, we wanted to take some time out to highlight a few of the best our favorite albums of the year, so far.
If you follow 2DBZ, you might’ve noticed we didn’t share a year-end list when 2021 came to an end. That’s our bad! Things got a little hectic in December and we simply let y’all down. Hopefully, breaking things up into quarterly drops will help us help y’all keep up with all the great music that’s being released. Now, let’s get into it…
As far as the Top 5, Shake and Mek compared their lists and the following albums stood above the rest:
• Conway the Machine, God Don’t Make Mistakes
• Benny the Butcher, Tana Talk 4
• EarthGang, Ghetto Gods
• Lucky Daye, Candydrip
• Curren$y + Alchemist, Continuance
That’s not to say there wasn’t anything else that dropped that isn’t worth listening to. Quite the opposite! On top of the above, we’ve also been jamming to Denzel Curry‘s Melt My Eyez See Your Future, Saba‘s Few Good Things, Yo Gotti‘s CM10: Free Game, Fly Anakin’s Frank, The Cool Kids‘ Before Sh*t Got Weird trilogy, Babyface Ray‘s Face, eLZhi + Georgia Anne Muldrow‘s Zhigeist, Cousin Stizz‘s Just For You, and a few others.
