FKA twigs Returns With “KILLER” Single

Following her critically-acclaimed mixtape at the top of 2022, CAPRISONGS, FKA twigs has shared the single “KILLER.”

“It’s dangerous to be a woman in love – when at its worst the effects of heart break can define one’s trajectory much more than the beauty of the love itself, in my song ‘Killer’ I explore this concept,” twigs explains. “The navigation, the hunt and the kill. The death of promises, dreams and the future that was once promised. But like the wildest plucked roses, I find myself more beautiful delicately wilted, in shadow, forced solace, darkened at the edges and achingly thirsting to be tended to again.”

Alongside the release of the single (and her recent NPR Tiny Desk Concert performance), twigs also revealed that she will be starring alongside Bill Skarsgård in a reboot of the 1994 film The Crow, which starred the late son of Bruce Lee, Brandon, in his final film role. Spoiler alert: The Crow was one of this writer’s favorite comic book characters and films as a youth, so this side of the DopeHouse is here for that.
