Ahead of the release of his anticipated sophomore album, Gemini Rights, on July 15, Steve Lacy connects with his good friend Fousheé for a final focus track, “Sunshine.”

“She’s great. We were writing together. She wrote with me on maybe half of the album almost, five songs or something” Lacy said to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about Fousheé. “[She] came at a crazy time where I was hitting that wall. My head was hitting the ceiling, like, ‘I don’t know what this album’s going to be.’ Because I was dumping my old process. And Fousheé was there to be like, ‘Chill out. You’re fine.’”

Lacy has shared a visual for the track, directed by rubberband, as well.
