Google PlayLast year, Complex brought you Hiking With Rappers, a show that takes your favorite MCs out of their mansions and into the hills to hike. Season 1 drew big laughs as we watched host King Keraun hike with Rick Ross, Quavo, and Lil Kim.
Now, Hiking With Rappers is back for 2022 with a second season, featuring all-new locations, intense physical challenges, and top MCs like 2 Chainz, Flo Milli, Jadakiss, Doechii, Princess Nokia, and Offset.
This time, King Keraun is checking in with rappers about their fits, asking them how they prepare to hit the great outdoors before putting them through the paces with games and physical challenges.
To help with that, Timberland is dipping Keruan and his guests in a mix of iconic pieces and new gear from its “Built For the Bold” campaign, which reminds “doers and adventurers everywhere to work hard, live with passion, act boldly, and believe in their potential to move the world forward.”
Timberland bridges the worlds of work, outdoors, and lifestyle and knows bold action often starts with humility, creativity, and perseverance, all attributes Hiking With Rappers guests display when they leave the recording studio to hit the trails with Keruan and Complex this season.
“Timberland was built on a foundation of being bold—starting with the birth of our iconic boot, designed to take on the harsh elements of New England,” Drieke Leenknegt, Chief Marketing Officer for Timberland explains.
To that end, Timberland’s four-phase “Built for the Bold” campaign draws creative inspiration from the company’s legendary archival ads. “Built for the Bold” will kick off with a digital teaser and prominent signage across the globe, followed by a powerful brand anthem narrated by Mary J. Blige, a number of guerrilla marketing activations, and a product campaign.
If that sounds good (and let’s be honest, it does), tune in to season 2 of Hiking With Rappers to see Jadakiss throw an axe, Princess Nokia set up a tent, and Offset hit the balance board, all while dressed in the boldest Timberland boots and apparel.
