Google PlayOctober’s Very Own is expanding its presence in British Columbia by opening a new OVO store in Metropolis at Metrotown shopping mall in Burnaby.
The signs have been on the wall, quite literally, since March when the signature OVO owl appeared on the storefront’s eventual location in the mall. The brand announced of the store’s opening by dropping some concept art on their IG account.
On TikTok, a few shoppers shared their experiences of the store’s opening. According to one shopper’s video, the store was still in the process of finishing up the details as the dressing rooms were allegedly barebones and unfinished.
The new OVO store is now the second of its kind to open in British Columbia, the first having opened in downtown Vancouver back in 2018. OVO had previously opened stores in Calgary, Ottawa, and Drake’s hometown of Toronto.
Earlier in September, OVO dropped a collegiate line including hoodies and bomber jackets for their fall/winter collection. Tomorrow, they’re also dropping a new NBA team icons jacket featuring all 30 team logos. Each jacket will include an illustration from designer Jeff Hamilton.
