You can’t discuss art, fashion, and ingenuity without mentioning the LGBTQ+ community. Trendsetters in every field they enter, this community has always contributed to the arts in creative ways. And at this year’s ComplexCon (Nov. 19-20) prominent queer designers will showcase their work at The District.
This isn’t the first time The District has partnered with Complex. In May, Willy Chavarria and several other artists displayed their artistry and sold their products at ComplexLand 3.0, and after a successful turn out during the digital playground, The District will be on hand for its first IRL experience.
Sponsored by Healthysexual by Gilead Science, The District’s infrastructure on the ComplexCon floor is modeled after historic LGBTQ+ communities and the culture that emerged in underground dance culture. At the Long Beach, CA festival, The District will house the works of fashion designers Barragán and holiday. Willy Chavarria will return, and Brandon Blackwood will participate in his first in real life shopping experience.
Each brand will have a distinct shop with surprise experiences and exclusive products all weekend. Attendees will also be able to relax inside of The Lounge sponsored by Healthysexual. So stop by The District to support queer businesses.
Healthysexual is not affiliated with any vendors featured within The District.*
