Google PlayAngela Simmons took a moment to celebrate her relationship with Yo Gotti, proclaiming her happiness a few days after the couple announced they were officially together on Instagram.
Simmons and the CMG rap mogul confirmed their rumored partnership with a romantic New Year’s Eve photoshoot, and the daughter of Run-DMC’s Rev Run took to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts on her new relationship.
“Happier than I ever been,” she wrote with a flurrying heart emoji.

<p>A rumored romance between Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons has been a thing for years, with Gotti famously declaring his love on his 2015 hit “Down in the DM,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.</p>

“And I just followed Angela (Simmons) / Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons / They like, ‘Damn Gotti, you bold’ / Fuck it, I’m gon’ let the world know (goals),” he rapped. Gotti also pined after Simmons on his 2017 song “Save It For Me,” which he dropped shortly after Simmons became engaged to Sutton Tennyson.
“Passed my number to Angela / I thought I had her / Her n***a cuffed her, married, it made me madder/ I respect it, I’m moving on, but the truth is I want her badder / Maybe me sayin’ her name made him move faster,” he rapped.
Rumors began to swirl again in September when the pair were seen partying together for Simmons’ 35th birthday.
As part of their steamy New Year’s Eve photoshoot, Gotti shared a video of Simmons in a black dress and evening gloves alongside a Rolls-Royce.
“You looking good,” he tells the Growing Up Hip Hop star after wishing her a happy New Year. She replies “Mmm thanks.”
