Mere months after sharing word that filming on the upcoming Gran Turismo movie had kicked off in Hungary, Sony Pictures Entertainment has given fans a quick look at what to expect from the Neill Blomkamp-helmed production.

In the words of star David Harbour, the film promises “badass race car action” that will make audiences feels as though they are actually “in the middle” of it themselves. “It doesn’t get any better than this,” the Stranger Things and Violent Night actor said in the newly released sneak peek, which also features some quick comments from co-star Orlando Bloom.

In November, Sony (as mentioned above) announced that filming was “underway” on the biographical movie, which brings to the big screen the true story of Jann Mardenborough, played by Archie Madekwe. Also in November, Madekwe confirmed on social media that he and Mardenborough had been spending time together ahead of the film’s release, notably sharing a photo and praising the Super GT racing star as “the real life mixed raced super hero I never saw in films growing up.”

In 2011, per Guinness World Records, Mardenborough won Nissan and PlayStation’s GT Academy program, thus becoming the youngest such winner in the initiative’s history at 19. From there, Mardenborough’s proven skills were parlayed into competitions including the British GT Championship Pro-Am, the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, the Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand, and more.

Gran Turismo, directed by Blomkamp from a screenplay by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, is out Aug. 11.
