Watch the New Trailer for ‘Scream VI’

Ghostface has returned in the new trailer for Scream VI.

“Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving,” a description for the film reads. 

Neve Campbell, who previously lead the series, exited the franchise back in 2022 over a pay dispute. 

“As a woman I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream,” Campbell said of her decision in a Twitter Spaces conversation. “I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.” Campbell continued, “To all my Scream fans, I love you. You’ve always been so incredibly supportive to me. I’m forever grateful to you and to what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years.”

Check out the trailer for Scream VI, which was directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, up top. Scream VI will hit theaters on March 10, 2023. The film was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Last year’s Scream made its way to theaters on January 14, 2022.
