Google PlayApple unveiled their latest additions to the MacBook Pro family today with 14- and 16-inch variants boasting their latest M2 Pro and M2 Max processing chips.
On top of their promise of superior power, Apple has also promised game-changing battery life with the laptops promising up to 22 hours, which Apple claims to be the “longest battery life ever in a Mac.”

The MacBook Pros will also see stronger internet connectivity, supporting Wi-Fi 6E, a new wireless internet protocol that promises internet speeds twice as fast as its predecessor.
Apple also added support for advanced HDMI, with support for 8K video output.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,599.00 CAD for the base model with the M2 Pro chip, and 512GB SSD storage. The middle-tier model boasts a more powerful GPU, 1TB SSD storage, and a more powerful charger for $3,299.00 CAD. Finally, the most powerful of the three features even more GPU than the middle-tier model, though the rest of the specs match its less powerful companion. This model goes for $4,099.00 CAD.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $3,199.00 CAD with the base model offering the same GPU as the highest tier 14-inch model, although the storage caps out at 512GB. The middle-tier model offers only higher storage capacity with a 1TB SSD at $3,449.00 CAD, while the highest tier has the strongest GPU and otherwise identical specs as the middle-tier model for $4,499.00 CAD.
Each model is available for pre-order as of today, with the launch date set for Jan. 24.
