JAY-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross & DJ Khaled Perform “GOD DID” At 2023 Grammys

While the top players in the NFL were busy playing flag football in Vegas earlier today, it was Los Angeles that held it down for the musical side of entertainment as the 2023 Grammys came to town for their 65th annual ceremony.

With Beyoncé leading the way with nine nominations (ultimately, taking home three to help break the record for most Grammy wins – 32 – of all time) and Kendrick Lamar taking pole position for hip hop (winning Best Rap Album with Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers), there were plenty of memorable moments throughout the night.

At the top of that list, I’d have to say it was the tribute to the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. With Questlove handling the production, the stage was blessed with appearances by LL Cool J, De La Soul, Big Boi, The LOX, Method Man, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Swizz Beatz, Scarface, Rakim, Queen Latifah, Too $hort, and many others.

On top of that, Dr. Dre was presented with the inaugural Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, Viola Davis reached EGOT status, Quavo honoring his late nephew Takeoff, and Robert Glasper won Best R&B Album (even if Chris Brown doesn’t know who he is).

To close out the show, after Beyoncé was once again robbed of Album of the Year (this time, by Harry Styles), DJ Khaled set the table for an epic performance of “GOD DID” with Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and JAY-Z. Check it out below.
