iOS 16.4 Beta Introduces 21 New Emojis

With the release of the iOS 16.4 developer beta version on Thursday, iPhone, iPad, and Mac users can now get a look at the 21 new emojis that should be available at their fingertips later this year.

Among the standout emojis on the way is the long-awaited arrival of the pink heart, which, according to Emojipedia, has been requested for years. The shaking face, or shook emoji, has undergone a slight alteration since it was first unveiled, prior to being submitted for approval from the Unicode consortium last year.

The pushing hand gesture emoji will come in the typical five different skin tones, which technically brings the new batch to a total of 31 additions. According to Emojipedia, the hand gesture can be placed alongside one another to create a high-five, with a collision emoji positioned between the hands for an added effect. 

iOS 16.4 can only be downloaded by those who are enrolled in Apple’s beta software program. It’s also worth noting that emojis are subject to change. In recent years, emojis for the bagel, peach, and goblin went through redesigns before going out to the masses. 

iOS 16.4 is scheduled to be released to the public in either March or April 2023.
