In a video originally posted to TikTok, passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight were forced to deplane after one man caused a scene over a crying baby, per TMZ.

“That child has been crying for 40 minutes,” the man can be heard shouting in the clip, which was recorded by another passenger who found the whole ordeal funny. “Calm the child down, please. I had headphones on, I was sleeping.”

The tantrum-thrower was informed by a flight attendant that he was yelling, which prompted the man to ask why the baby was yelling. “Want me to scream? I’ll fucking scream,” he responded. “Please stop the baby. Please. … We are in a fucking tin can with a baby in a goddamn echo chamber and you wanna talk to me about being fucking OK?”

When one of the attendants said it’s different when a grown man yells and when a baby does, he asked, “Did that motherfucker pay extra to yell? Fuck you, and shut up.” He was asked to lower his voice and replied, “Can you lower that voice? … Fuck, lower that baby’s voice. I’m triggered, fuck that baby.”

He was told to leave the plane and made a reference to his attorney. “I got rights,” he said. “If I hadn’t have said anything, we would be sitting on this motherfucking flight with a kid crying for 45 minutes. Bullshit.” He refused to deplane the flight in Orlando, which meant all of the passengers had to deplane. In the last moments of the video, he could be seen being escorted away by authorities at the airport.

In a statement shared with Today, a representative for Southwest Airlines said, “We do not have details on this flight to share but commend our flight crew for their professionalism and offer our apologies to the other customers onboard.”
