Rihanna to Voice Smurfette in ‘The Smurfs Movie,’ Will Write and Perform Original Music

Rihanna will voice the character of Smurfette in Paramount Animation’s upcoming The Smurfs Movie, Variety reports.

The singer appeared at CinemaCon to make the announcement on Thursday. “I tried to get the Papa Smurf role but It didn’t work out,” she quipped on stage. In addition to starring in the film, RiRi is set to write and record original music for the film as well.
