In case you missed it, Sofia Richie married Elliot Grainge earlier this week in a wedding ceremony that has been dubbed the wedding of the year, per TikTok.
Richie and Grainge said “I do” in a lavish ceremony in front of their family and friends at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France on April 22. Richie, who is the youngest daughter of singer-songwriter Lionel Richie, teased fans leading up to the big day with content posted to her newly created TikTok account.
Richie had been friends with Grainge for years before they started dating in 2021 after their fathers crossed paths in the music industry. Grainge is a fellow nepotism baby himself. His dad is Lucian Grainge, chairman and CEO of Universal Musical Group. Following in his father’s footsteps, Grainge started his own music label 10K Projects. Under this label, he signed the likes of Trippie Redd, 6ix9ine, Iann Dior, and more.
Prior to her relationship with Grainge, Richie burst into the public eye when she dated Justin Bieber in 2016. She then got into a relationship with Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, for three years before calling it quits in August 2020. Richie reportedly broke things off with Disick after feeling like he didn’t prioritize their relationship. It only took a few months after their split before Richie realized that the love of her life was always right before her eyes.
Once Richie joined TikTok prior to her big day, content surrounding the couple’s wedding and their relationship quickly took over the app. In a Vogue video released hours before they tied the knot, she explained why she was over the moon to be walking down the aisle. “I’m so excited to be married just because I’m marrying Elliot,” she said. “I know that sounds so cheesy, but he’s the man of my dreams.”
From being music heirs and longtime friends to their lavish wedding ceremony in the South of France, here’s a complete timeline of Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge’s relationship.
