The follow-up to her Lowkey Superstar album, Kari Faux returns with REAL B*TCHES DON’T DIE!
“After years of subjecting myself to ‘industry standards’ and becoming completely depressed by them, I decided to go home, which was completely grounding,” Faux says about the project. “This album is my best work yet and it’s an homage to the loved ones I’ve lost, Southern rap and my ability to alchemize pain that would break some people. My friend and collaborator, TheMIND, convinced me to go to Chicago and work with him and Phoelix. Phoelix and I ultimately fell in love over the course of making this album and that love is in every fiber of this album.”
A 13-song drop, Kari is joined by the likes of Devin The Dude, Jazz Cartier, and the late Gangsta Boo throughout. The album is anchored by the tracks “MAKE A WISH,” “TURNIN’ HEADS” (with Big K.R.I.T.) and “ME FIRST.”
