blame it on Meka December 22, 2020

Two years ago Playboi Carti released his debut album, Die Lit. And, similar to after dropping his self-titled mixtape in 2017 he faded back to the background, sporadically appearing on features (and becoming a father, sharing a child with Iggy Azalea).

Since then, the eccentric rapper has been teasing his sophomore effort, Whole Lotta Red, for over a year now, with rumors at one point suggesting it would drop in 2019. Since then, his fans have rabidly clamored for the project, and Carti has finally decided to drop it.

Following a weird “promo campaign” in which several billboards (including Phora, who didn’t take too kindly to that), Carti has announced that he will release Whole Lotta Red this Friday.

December 25th.

On X-Mas.

(God, I’m going to hate Thursday night.)

It’s gonna be a long week.
