To prove it, Lexus hosted its own “License to Thrill” competition, inviting 14 auto enthusiasts to test the new IS 500 on the track, even enlisting professional Lexus Motorsports drivers Townsend Bell, Jack Hawksworth, and Aaron Telitz to give them a few pointers. From there, each driver took to the track, racing for a chance to secure one of the top five spots and get early access to the IS 500. To rev up the experience, Lexus surprised the driver with the fastest time by gifting them a brand new IS 500 outright. We all know they earned it.
