No one does Halloween quite like New Orleans.
Where the rest of the world contents itself with Trick Or Treat and a horror movie or two, the Louisiana city takes things to a whole other level with world-famous street parties and celebrations through its French Quarter that’s second only to its equally infamous Mardi Gras celebrations.
This year, Southern Comfort—the unique spirit of New Orleans—is teaming up with the Cirque du Soul club to ‘twin’ the festivities in New Orleans with London for a Halloween bash like no other. Together, they’ll be hosting a party at Lafayette, a New Orleans-inspired club in London King’s Cross on Wednesday, October 27. Not only will guests enjoy music from London’s very own TSHA, Arielle Free and Weaver Bros, they will also be able to enjoy Southern Comfort cocktails, including Sour Cherry Smash which stars Southern Comfort Black, the unmistakable taste of Southern Comfort Original with more of a whiskey kick—for a spicier and bolder flavour.
Inspired by New Orleans party collective Krewe of Boo, the Halloween party promises a night of decadence and theatrics with a focus on self-expression and togetherness, something we’ve all been starved of lately. Naturally, you’ll have to get dressed up for the occasion, but if you need a little help in that department, makeup artists from beauty brand In Your Dreams will be on hand on the night. To give you an idea of what’s in store, their last party featured pyrotechnics, acrobatics, costumed dancers, and an elaborate set design that was somewhere between circus big top, haunted house and carnival street party.
