Betty White has died at age 99. The beloved actress and comedian, whose massive list of TV and occasional movie credits extends back to the late 1940s, reportedly passed away at her Los Angeles home on Friday morning. She would have turned 100 on Jan. 17.

TMZ posted the news, citing law enforcement sources, and in a statement provided to People her close friend and agent Jeff Witjas confirmed her death.

“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” wrote Witjas. “I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”

A 22-time Emmy Award nominee and five-time winner, White was perhaps best known for The Golden Girls and an extensive list of guest appearances on shows from Community to That ’70s Show. Her most recent Emmy came in 2010 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series when she hosted SNL, becoming the show’s oldest-ever host at age 88.

According to IMDB, she’s got over 120 acting credits and over 350 TV and movie appearances as herself. Her last major movie role came in 2019 with Toy Story 4, in which she voiced a character named Bitey White. She reprised the role that same year for a cameo on Forky Asks a Question, a Disney+ Toy Story spinoff.

RIP.
