After being called “purposeless” by Trudeau, getting investigated by the Federal government, and becoming the Internet’s latest punching bag, the infamous Quebec airplane partiers have now made it onto Jimmy Fallon.

The slew of reality TV stars, music producers, and influencers, who are all part of an Instagram group known as 111 Private Club, have gained global notoreity the last few weeks for essentially turning a Canadian Sunwing airplane flight heading to Cancun into a scene straight out of Spring Breakers.

Though much of the conversation in the news surrounding the Quebec partiers has heralded them as a national embarrassment, Jimmy Fallon was moreso focused on the disciplinary reaction, or lack thereof, taken by multiple airlines who refused to fly the partiers back to Canada after videos of their maskless debauchery surfaced online.

The Tonight Show host gave his take on the whole fiasco during his opening monologue on Jan. 7, joking, “What better way to teach someone a lesson than forcing them to spend more time in Cancun?” We can’t say he doesn’t have a point. Fallon carried on impersonating those who implemented the travel ban: “These frozen drinks are for you guys too. You knuckleheads. Learn your lesson and never do that again.’”

Appearing to be proud of this Late Night mention, 111 Private Club posted the clip of Fallon’s monologue about them on their Instagram page, drawing the group even more online backlash in the comments section. One Instagram user responded with, “Somebody hire this page a PR firm, you are not handling this well at all lmao,” while another user commented, “Lol, you’re proud of this?” So, maye the televised publicity isn’t quite helping their brand image.

Despite the potential criminal charges and being barred from international flights, the founder of 111 Private Club took to Twitter on Jan. 9 to refer to those angry about the reckless partiers as “sheeps.”

Hopefully their high times in the sky were worth it, because the Canadian Ministry of Transport is now investigating those caught partying on the flight for potential fines up to $5000 per passenger or more for breaking both transportation and COVID-19 safety regulations.
