The Batman is scheduled to open in theaters in less than two months, and it’s set to be the longest film about the Caped Crusader yet.
Variety reports that The Batman is expected to run for two hours and 47 minutes, and that’s without credits. A source close to production on the film confirmed the huge 167-minute runtime, which will make it longer than any solo Batman movie. In fact, there’s only two major comic book movies—Avengers: Endgame at 181 minutes and Zack Snyder’s Justice League at 242 minutes—that run longer.
Starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role, The Batman will arrive in theaters on March 4, 2022. It was initially scheduled to release last year but was pushed back on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rounding out the cast of the Matt Reeves-directed film is Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
