Joe Rogan was in serious hot water ago after a compilation video went viral of the podcast host saying the N-word across a slew of episodes. Freddie Gibbs recently visited the Joe Rogan Experience alongside Brian Moses, and while the rapper condemned Rogan for using the racial slur, Gibbs also said he doesn’t think the comedian is racist.

“You can’t say that shit, Joe,” Freddie said in the clip above. “’Cause you pissed n***as off when you did that compilation. It was funny as fuck, though. I can’t even lie.”

Gibbs went on to say that while the compilation video was wrong, he believes Rogan just made a mistake.

“I don’t think you’re racist, my n***a,” Gibbs continued. “You my n***a, I fuck with you. I never thought you was a racist. I just thought you was saying some shit you shouldn’t have said and a lot of us n***as say some shit we shouldn’t say sometimes. It is what it is. … That’s the thing, I wanna tell white people right now, y’all just gotta let us have that. Like, just let us have ‘nigga.’ We got it. It’s one thing, y’all already human trafficked us over here. Let us have that.”

Later in the clip, Gibbs also commented on Neil Young leaving Spotify because of the misinformation Rogan spread on his podcast about COVID-19 vaccines. Gibbs joked that Young didn’t have anything to say about Rogan’s racial slur controversy, despite being outspoken about his anti-vax rhetoric earlier.

Rogan released an apology video after the compilation began circulating online, saying he’s not racist and never used the word in a hateful way.

“I haven’t said it in years, but for a long time, when I would bring that word up, like if it would come up in conversation, instead of saying ‘the N-word’, I would just say the word,” Rogan said. “I thought as long as it was in context, people would understand what I was doing.”

Spotify has since removed over 100 episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience and put up $100 million to develop and market content from marginalized groups, according to a statement released by CEO Daniel Ek. It was recently reported that Rogan’s three-year deal with the streamer that was originally believed to be worth $100 million, is actually worth double that.

Gibbs, Moses, and Rogan also got into the worth of semen and the hypothetical question of how much money could be made if celebrities sold theirs for a living:
