FIFA 23 Will Reportedly Include Cross-Play Between Consoles

FIFA 23 is set to include cross-play for the first time in the series’ history, according to reports. 

PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users will finally be allowed to play together, alongside a number of new options. A new and improved version of FIFA 22’s Hypermotion Technology will also be implemented, which will allow teams to capture animations purely from the stadium cameras, rather than the motion-capture suits.

EA will also be capturing “over 100 times more data in a single season” than it has ever logged over the entire 29-year history of the franchise. For the next FIFA, the 2023 version will also include the men’s and women’s World Cup, as well as expanded licensing agreements with women’s leagues and teams.

FIFA, however, will not be following in the same footsteps as rivals Konami, who made their game free to play. The FIFA franchise has also denied any rumours that they will be dropping the ‘FIFA’ brand name.
