Google PlayASAP Rocky and Rihanna were photographed together for the first time after the rapper’s arrest.
TMZ reports the couple was seen leaving the Santa Monica restaurant Giorgio Baldo on Saturday night. The singer is said to have celebrated her baby shower there, which was attended by family and friends.
“It was a happy and relaxed group. Rihanna looked great. She sat next to A$AP and they were affectionate,” a source told People. “They dined for a couple of hours. The focus was very much on Rihanna and the baby.”
Their outing follows Rocky’s April arrest, which was in connection to a shooting that took place in Hollywood last November. Authorities were waiting for him at LAX as he and RiRi were returning from Barbados on a private jet. At the same time, police also served a search warrant for his Los Angeles home with video showing officers using a battering ram to enter the premises. Rocky posted his $550,000 bail later that night.
The following day, new information about his arrest came to light. A new report revealed that “at least” 10 officers were present to detain Rocky after he landed, while Rihanna was reportedly “shocked” by the turn of events.
Rocky allegedly shot a man after an argument, with the victim claiming that the rapper fled the scene. Per police, the case is up for filing consideration, which means it will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
