Bad Bunny Set to Star as El Muerto in Upcoming Marvel Movie From Sony

Bad Bunny is set to star as El Muerto in an upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Marvel movie from Sony, Deadline reports.

El Muerto/Juan Carlos is a wrestler with superpowers. The movie will mark the first live-action Marvel film with a lead Latino superhero. The news was announced during CinemaCon’s Sony Panel and featured an appearance from Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) himself.

El Muerto is scheduled to arrive in theaters on January 12, 2024.

Bad Bunny previously appeared in Narcos: Mexico and will also show up in the film Bullet Train, which will be released later this summer on July 29. Bullet Train also stars Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Sandra Bullock, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazie Beetz, and was directed by David Leitch.
