Google PlayKim Kardashian took to her Instagram Stories Sunday to wish a Happy Father’s Day to Kanye West and thank him for “being the best dad to our babies and loving them to way you do!”
Back in April, Kardashian revealed on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast that after filing for divorce, she and West didn’t speak to each other for eight months. While he was still seeing their kids, it wasn’t until just prior to the series of Donda premieres that they opened a line of communication again. Kim added she’s optimistic about reaching a point where they could become “co-parenting goals.”
In an appearance on Ellen in March, Kardashian spoke about her decision to “take the high road,” despite West publicly accusing her of preventing him from seeing their children and repeatedly threatening her new boyfriend Pete Davidson.
“I think that’s just who I am and I always saw such a good example in my mom and my dad in their relationship, so I’m always just hopeful and no matter what goes on, it’s the father of my kids,” she said. “I’ll always be protective—I always want my kids to just see the best of the best. So I just try to—as hard as it can be sometimes—I do try to ignore it and just try to do whatever’s best for the kids. … Take the high road.”
Kim and Kanye share four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
