Her first formal project since 2016’s Lemonade (her last projects were 2019’s The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack and 2018’s Everything Is Love collaborative album with Jay-Z), Beyoncé recently announced that her upcoming seventh studio album would arrive July 29. Dubbed RENAISSANCE, the album was described in Vogue Magazine as having “dance and country-leaning tracks,” with contributions from The-Dream, Raphael Saadiq, Ryan Tedder (of OneRepublic), and others.

Bey has now shared the project’s first single, “Break My Soul.” True to the magazine’s words, the single is a full-blown house track produced by The-Dream and his longtime co-conspirator “Tricky” Stewart. Yeah, expect this track to be blasting out of every function beginning this weekend and beyond.
The song is currently available on Tidal, and will hit the rest of the DSPs at midnight EST.
