But his career, taking on pieces of pavement across the world, may not have been enough to prepare him for his return to the hot seat opposite Hot Ones’ Sean Evans. And this time, they’re not just enduring hot wings, they’re braving the Paqui® #OneChipChallenge.
Fans of the show know the #OneChipChallenge is all about the Carolina Reaper-infused chip, but this year, Paqui® is turning things up and throwing Hawk into the fire by adding Scorpion Peppers to the menu, creating a snack the skateboarder describes as “the remnants of a terrible house fire.” Oh, and the chip will give anyone brave enough to take on the challenge a bright, blue tongue. (Consider it the spice lord scarlet letter.)
With rubber gloves on and the chip out the bag, Hawk finds himself speechless while Evans waits for the OK to grab the cold glass of milk to cool things down. The two discuss which parts of their bodies have been rendered temporarily useless while waiting for the five-minute mark to hit. Then, it’s chug, chug, chug.
