Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth Star In Trailer For Canadian Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Infinity Pool’

The trailer for Infinity Pool, the latest sci-fi thriller from Canadian filmmaker Brandon Cronenberg, has dropped, starring Mia Goth (X, Pearl), Alexander Skarsgård (The Northman), and Cleopatra Coleman (Dopesick).

The trailer shows Skarsgård’s character and his wife on vacation when they leave their resort and find themselves in a terrifying underworld filled with cults, horrific skin transformations, and a psychotic character played by Goth.

“While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Skarsgård) and Em (Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero-tolerance policy for crime: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead,” the film’s official release reads.

In an interview for EW, Goth explained how impressed she was with the script.

“That’s a wild film,” she said. “It’s a wild, wild film. I’m very curious to see how that comes out. It’s different for sure.”

The film will release on Jan. 27.
