Google PlayThis week, McDonald’s Canada launched a new Pascal Siakam-inspired McFlurry flavour called the Siakam Swirl McFlurry.
This new collaborative McFlurry is made of soft-serve ice cream, red Smarties, and a hot fudge swirl, inspired directly by Siakam’s iconic spin move.
In the 15-second promo video, Siakam is at a McDonald’s-themed press conference where he announces a small, but noticeable change in the name to his spin move.
“I’m here to declare that my spin move is actually a swirl,” he says in the ad.
“I have been a fan of McDonald’s since my first bite, and the McFlurry was actually the first menu item I’d ever tasted. To now have my own McFlurry flavour is wild!” said Siakam in a press release.
Introduced on Feb 14, the Siakam Swirl McFlurry will only be available for a limited time in select Ontario restaurants.
NBA-themed food options are becoming more common in Canada with the NBA also recently announcing the opening of the NBA Courtside Restaurant in Toronto.
Siakam, despite not originally being selected for the All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, will serve as a reserve replacement following a slew of injuries to the original roster.
