Donald Trump continued to ramp up his attacks against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and other officials this week amid speculation over whether he will be indicted in a much-discussed hush money case.

The latest comments see Trump, whose 2020 election loss was followed by the fatal Capitol riot, specifically mentioning “potential death and destruction” while questioning the case over a payment allegedly made on his behalf to Stormy Daniels.

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting [p]resident in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a [c]rime, when it is known by all that NO [c]rime has been committed, [and] also known that potential death [and] destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our [c]ountry?” Trump said on Truth Social, a social media platform he founded after being banned from Twitter and elsewhere.

Previously, again on Truth Social, Trump mocked the repeated calls for a peaceful response to a possible indictment. He has also continued to specifically target Bragg, who pointed out in an April 2022 statement that “litigation involving the former president himself is not foreign to me.”

This isn’t the only all-eyes-on-it case involving Trump that has a potential conclusion on the horizon. As reported just this week, Trump could also be facing possible RICO charges in Georgia over efforts in the state to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Sources told CNN that racketeering and conspiracy charges are being weighed, with evidence said to range from phone calls to text messages. When reached for comment by Complex at the time of the initial report, a representative for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis declined to comment.
