Two individuals are recovering after being shot on the campus of Lincoln University, an HBCU located in Pennsylvania.

NBC Philadelphia reports the shooting took place during Lincoln’s annual Yardfest event on Saturday night. Both victims, who’ve been identified as females who are not Lincoln students, were taken to Christiana Hospital, and are currently listed in stable condition.

“During Lincoln University’s annual Yardfest celebration, tonight, a gun was discharged causing two non fatal injuries. The injured have been transported to the hospital. Campus Police with the assistance of state and local agencies are securing the campus and further investigating the incident,” Lincoln University president Brenda Allen said in a statement.

Lincoln was put on lockdown following the shooting, but has since been freed of requirements, as neither suspect could be identified by law inforcement. “We have a description of two individuals with white T-shirts, and that’s all we have,” Marc R. Partee, the head of campus security, told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, law enforcemet said.

Any Lincoln students who need mental or emotional support at this time are encouraged to contact counseling services. Lincoln is asking anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact campus security or the Chester County law enforcement authorities.
